The personal exhibition Santina Ricupero. Living Imprints<\/b>, curated by Professor Dino Marangon, will be inaugurated on Saturday April 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM<\/b>, at the Cultural Center Villa XXV Aprile in Mirano.
The exhibition features works on paper, sculptures, and installations from 2012 to 2025, along with some works from the 2000s, and is promoted by the Municipality of Mirano, Department of Culture, in collaboration with the associations Casa delle Muse and Casa Mia Santa Bertilla. The exhibition coincides with the presentation of the artist’s first monograph published by the publishing house Il Prato.
Born in Canicattini Bagni (SR) and residing in Mirano since 1980, Santina Ricupero<\/b> has been developing research focused on the relationship between nature, matter, and memory for decades. The works on display range from graphite and pastel drawings to large papers worked with charcoal, acrylic, and bitumen, from layered collages and sculptures in black clay and resin to installations where wisteria trunks interact with mirrors and plaster casts. Her work arises from a gesture that is both analytical and visceral: burning, tearing, layering, reassembling. Matter becomes a trace of time, the wound becomes form.
Among the most significant cycles of her recent production is the one dedicated to the wisteria that was cut down near her home: from that loss, works on paper, resin sculptures, and installations intertwining loss with beauty were born.
Thirty-five years after her first solo exhibition in Mirano, this exhibition restores the coherence and depth of an artistic journey developed over decades of passionate work.

The curator<\/b>
Dino Marangon<\/b>, art historian and critic specialized in the twentieth century, PhD in Contemporary Art History, has curated exhibitions and monographs of contemporary and historicized artists, including Giorgio Morandi, Virgilio Guidi, Tancredi, and Alberto Viani, and has contributed to the volume Painting in Italy. The Twentieth Century\/2<\/i> (Electa).
