Near the Parish Church of Scorz\u00e9 is the monument to “Jesus Christ the Redeemer”. <\/p>\n
This monument was built following the consecration of the twentieth century to the Redeemer by Pope Leo XIII on the occasion of the Jubilee of 1900.<\/p>\n
The Scorz\u00e9 monument is the result of the initiative of Mons. Angelo Bottacin. The complete project is by Engineer Architect Pietro Saccardo, a project that was approved by the International Roman Commission for the tribute to the Redeemer. The figure of the Redeemer, made of Carrara marble, is the work of sculptor Augusto Zanetti from Noale.<\/p>\n
The statue is placed on a well-crafted pedestal adorned with a strip of gold mosaic and stucco work. On each side of the pedestal, there are Latin inscriptions dictated for such monuments by Pope Leo XIII himself. On the sides of the monument, there are 4 columns in the shape of dice that support amphorae covered with delicate stucco decorations. The entire work is united by a high artistic iron railing, with hammered rungs and bulges at the base.<\/p>\n
