Museo San Pio X
The museum, inaugurated on October 3, 1999, collects objects and sacred vestments from the "old museum" of 1951 and from parish settings. Chalices, monstrances, crosses, reliquaries, sculptures and wooden furniture, liturgical vestments (chasubles, copes, dalmatics) in high-quality velvet, precious damasks and brocades are just some of the testimonies of the period spent by Don Giuseppe Sarto first as parish priest of Salzano (1867-1875) and then as Pope (1903-1914), the highest office he reached after having climbed all the steps of the ecclesiastical hierarchy. This exhibition allows you to know and admire materials of particular value, including a large collection of liturgical wallpapers, some of great artistic value, and documents several moments in the history of the community salzanese.
Remarkable is the cultural interest of the initiative, both with respect to the quality and rarity of the materials on display.
