Their chromatic shades due to the prevalence of one species or another, the golden, red, intense purple, cerulean green, and yellow hues mark the seasons of this environment, which offers significant aesthetic and landscape interest.

The Barene of the Venetian lagoon are crossed by natural channels and cover a considerable surface that is periodically submerged by tides and, for this reason, rich in salts.

 Few plants have managed to adapt and grow in such a harsh environment, offering a vegetation very different from what we might encounter in a meadow or a forest.

A delicate habitat that brings numerous benefits to humans: it promotes biodiversity, supports economic activities such as fishing, hunting, and eco-tourism, moderates currents and wave action, and has a high landscape value.
